I am often asked how I dream up the colour schemes for the brooches I make. Sometimes the beautiful vintage felt colours just seem to pick themselves and compliment each other…..other times I look elsewhere for inspiration……
This morning I was browsing some beautifully illustrated German fashion magazines from 1942 and fell in love, not only with the clothing but also with the designer’s colour palette.
I just had to make some flowers to compliment it… the end results are now available in my Etsy Shop
What a fantastic old magazine, the colours and cuts are beautiful. What a fun way to get inspiration.
