Vintage Felt Flower Corsage Brooches form 1940’s Patterns
Tracey makes these beautiful felt flower brooches from original 1940’s patterns, using original vintage felt wherever possible as new felt lacks the quality and muted colours of old. We normally only sell these at fairs, however so many people have asked me to make them available for sale online. I have decided to list a few here.
Each flower will cost £10 gbp sterling….including worldwide shipping. Please choose from any of the thumbnail images (click to make them bigger) below… and email your request. I will be adding a paypal purchase link shortly.

Lorina Bulwer Sampler
Lorina Bulwer embroided this sampler in Great Yarmouth workhouse female lunatic ward in around 1900. The 12ft by 1ft long sampler is just one long confused rant with no punctuation, much like this blog!
The sampler is addressed to the Maharajah of Kelvedon Brandon Thetford and begins:
“The Chatter is I Miss Lorina Bulwer Cambs Woman Drove to Thrigby Hall Norfolk E. Bulwer Married An Hemaphrodite Eunich I Miss Lorina Bulwer Was Examined By Dr Pinching of Walthamstow Essex And Found To Be A Properly Shaped Woman”
Below I have added a cutting from the Great Yarmouth Mercury which gives more details on this amazing and thought provoking sampler…
